Great Plains 1006NT: No Till Drill

Drill Information:

  • 10 feet wide (~12'7" feet wide tire to tire)

  • 7.5 inch row spacings

  • 3 seed boxes (native, small, main seed box)

  • hydraulic hookup

  • 75+ horsepower tractor needed​​

Rental Rate:

  • Delivery Fee:$100

  • Per Acre: $12  

*Rates may change for locations outside Freeborn County.

​ The no-till drill is capable of planting a variety of seeds; from soybeans, alfalfa, clover, native wildflower and grass seeds. No-till helps to reduce erosion by planting seeds into the previous crops residue without the need to plow or disk.

Seeders 

Truax Seed Slinger

Great for broadcasting fluffy and small seeds on smaller projects or hard to access locations.

Earthway Bag Seeder

This hand seeder holds 25 LBS of seed that is useful for small projects or ground that is hard to access.

Tree Planters

Tree Planting Bar

These planting bars are used to plant bare root trees. The bar is inserted straight down into the soil and pulled backwards to open a hole for the tree.

 

The SWCD has five planting bars available to use, free of charge.

Pull-Type Tree Planter

A blade is used to open a trench at the front of the planter, trees are placed in the trench and wheels on the back close the trench. 

​

Rental rates for this planter is $35/day plus $.05/tree
